We’re launching a Community Resilience Plan to guide how we prepare for change, protect our shared resources, and invest in long-term strength and well-being. At the heart of this effort is a simple idea: the best solutions come from the people who live and work here.
Chemung County is known for its strong communities, its deep roots, and its spirit of collaboration. As we face evolving challenges, like increased flooding, aging infrastructure, and pressure on public services, we have an opportunity to plan thoughtfully and act together.
That’s why we’re hosting a Community Engagement Event, and we want you to be part of it. This gathering will be a chance to share your experiences, your concerns, and your ideas for how Chemung County can remain strong and adaptable in the years ahead.
