Live Music: Waao & Bonsk Collab

Ellsworth's own Atticus Deeny (Waao) and Ian Brenner-Simpson (Bonsk) first began making music together in 2019, teaching themselves to write and produce from their home studios. Now, after years of growth and exploration, they're reuniting in Maine to share a fresh set of songs with a more intimate sound.

Following a 2021 road trip across the country, Ian settled in Austin, TX, where his sound has shifted between 90's-inspired electronic textures and live guitar folk. Meanwhile, Atticus has been based in Philadelphia, completing the final Waao album and continuing to expand his artistry.

Together, Waao & Bonsk create music that lives in the space between pop, folk, electronic, and alt-rock—drawing inspiration from artists like Toro y Moi, Beach House, Moby, and King Krule.
