On Saturday, October 11th, we invite you to join us for a very special parkrun dedicated to the memory of Louis Ucci — a man who had a great appreciation for community, sport, and the outdoors.
This parkrun will be everything you’d expect — and more — with a special flair inspired by Louis. It will be a moment to come together, to celebrate his life, and to remember how he made everyone feel welcome through sport, the outdoors, and community. In Louis’ own words: “the more, the merrier!”
⏰ Please arrive by 8:50 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. start.
🏃 Whether you run the full 5 km, walk a portion, or bring a chair for the start/finish line to cheer, your presence will help carry forward the joy Louis found in being outdoors with others.
Directions:
From Highway 108, turn onto Milliken Mine Road (across from the boat launch). Follow the bright yellow parkrun signs past the main entrance of the Sheriff Creek Wildlife Sanctuary. You’ll see the large “parkrun” flag on the right side of the road. Parking is just inside the gates, leading to the open field where we will gather at the start line.
🚗 Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible. If you need a ride, reach out — we’ll make sure everyone who wishes to come is able to join.
Together, let’s run, walk, and share memories in honour of Louis.
