Bugs & Bees Day

Bugs & Bees Day is one of the most fun and fascinating mornings of the summer at the Ellington Farmers Market — and you’re invited!

Dr. Bugman will be joining us with his amazing collection of live critters for a hands-on, educational experience that’s equal parts creepy and cool. Whether you're brave enough to hold a giant bug or just want to learn more about them, his display is always a hit with kids and adults alike.

Over at Pease Bees’ live beehive, you can try your luck at finding the queen bee — spot her, and win a prize. And if you’re thinking about a new pet, Zion’s Betta World will be at the market with their vibrant, easy-to-love bearded dragons and everything you need to care for them.

As always, you can enjoy free live music — this week from Dr. K’s Uke, playing fun, upbeat tunes that keep the market energy just right. We’ll also have free face painting, the Kids POP Club will be open, and we’ll continue doubling SNAP and FMNP vouchers to make fresh, local food more accessible to all.

With over 50 incredible farmers, makers, and food vendors, there's something for everyone — and more than a few surprises to discover.

Come spend a beautiful Saturday morning with us, surrounded by bugs, bees, music, food, and a whole lot of local love.
