"In difficult times we search for answers to get us out of those difficulties or search for meaning in all of it.
As I contemplate what I believe are difficult societal conflicts, I keep thinking about what it is that I already know. And what I know mostly, I learned at an early age. This sermon contemplates what we were taught as children that applies to the most complex issues we have today."

REV. SCOTT DILLARD is an ordained Interfaith Minister who speaks in Unitarian Universalist pulpits throughout the Southeast. He is recently retired from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, where he was a Professor of Rhetoric and Chair of the Department of Communication.
Scott has a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Blackburn College, and an M. S. and PhD in Speech Communication (Performance Studies) from Southern Illinois University. His areas of expertise and interest are performance studies, narrative, queer theory, gay spirituality and service learning. Rev. Dillard is also the former Dean of the Mountain School for Congregational Leadership.
Scott and his husband, our member Chris Lamphere, have a daughter, Katrina, a grandson, Brandon, and two granddaughters, Lillian and Rosaline. They also have a demon Schnauzer, Sasha.
