Early Days of Elko

How familiar are you with the early history of Elko, Nevada? In partnership with Nevada Outdoor School and the Humanities Center at Great Basin College, join Nevada Humanities and local resident and history expert Jan Petersen for a walking tour on August 24, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm to learn more about the early days of Elko in late December, 1869.

The tour will meet and finish in front of the Silver Dollar Club in Downtown Elko. Parking is located in the Downtown Elko parking corridor. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. This is a free, family-friendly event. Registration is required.
