It's that time of year again, clear your calendars for this years Ollie Bash!
There will be lots of fun to be had this year for Labor Day weekend on the farm. Camping on the grounds Friday-Monday, BYOB (bring your own drinks & food 😘) while we provide some music, entertainment and location!
The official Ollie Bash will be Saturday, August 30th.
FRIDAY: Come early and camp, we'll be camping up on the hill. Dennis will have a ridiculously large bonfire so bring 20ft stick for roasting marshmallows.
SATURDAY (Ollie Bash): There will be plenty of stuff to do, ride ATVs, go fishing, shuffle board, ping pong, air hockey, volleyball, bags, giant jenga. Feel free to bring any games you'd like.
*Tentatively* 2:00 PM: Helicopter rides TBD based on weather. Will update as the date gets closer if helicopter rides will happen again this year.
7:00 PM: The band Wildcard Iowa will be performing! Grab your dancing crocs and a lawn chair and come listen to some live country and classic rock music.
DUSK: Firework Show, because, well... fireworks.
SUNDAY: Turkey River float/canoe trip. Whenever we manage to gather ourselves we'll head to Elkader to float the Turkey down to Motor Mill. *Weather and river levels permitting*
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
-It's happening rain or shine with plenty of room in the barn in case we have to move the party indoors.
-The bathrooms are porta pottys, it's camping, deal with it.
-If you're bringing a camper and need an electric hookup please let us know, there is limited space available.
-If you're doing the river day, you will need to bring your own tube, kayak or canoe. You can rent canoes from "Turkey River Rentals" in Elkader, google it.
-We have a good amount of fridge space in the barn if needed.
-It's BYOB, kegs are encouraged.
-Grills will be available all weekend to use.
FYI that handsome devil in the photo is Orville, Austen, Amber and Andrew's Great Great Grandfather and the parties (Ollie) namesake. This is all possible because he bought the farm in 1856 and he’d be disappointed not to see you there!
