Jason Denzel is a traditionally-published author of epic fantasy stories including The Mystic Trilogy from Tor Books. He's also the founder of a popular Wheel of Time fan community and a long-time resident of Elk Grove.

Nikki Shannon Smith is an educator, presenter, and the award-winning author of twenty-four published and forthcoming books for children, including her middle grade novel, STRANDED, which is a nominee for the 2026 Georgia Children's Book Award and the 2026 Tennessee Volunteer State Award. Her work ranges from board books to young adult novels, and from poetry to prose. She was born and raised in Oakland, CA and now lives in Woodland, but she sneaks away to enjoy nature whenever she can.
