☕ This month's topic is Pool Party! Vernal Pools, That Is! We'll dive in and discover the wonders of California’s vernal pools. Through photos and videos, you'll learn about the distinct phases of these temporary wetlands and meet a few of the incredibly bizarre and downright scary organisms that call them home!

🎙 About our speaker: David Rosen has worked as a naturalist and environmental educator for over 40 years. For the last 22 years, he’s been with Sacramento Splash, where he leads field trips around the amazing vernal pools at Mather Field. He also writes Splash’s popular Wildlife Wednesday Facebook posts each week. David’s extensive field experience has given him an intimate understanding of, and a deep love for, nature and wildlife. He’s passionate about sharing nature with others, especially kids.
