The 2025 Music on the Green Summer Music Series at Mariners' Wharf Park is a free outdoor live music concert on Tuesday evenings in August and September, from 6-8 pm at Mariners' Wharf Park on the beautiful downtown Elizabeth City waterfront.
The first FREE concert is scheduled for August 5, 2025. The series will continue through September 23, with September 30 being a Rain Date.
This is the LAST Music on the Green performance of the 2025 Season with a performance by local jazz favorites, Connected.
Connected showcases a variety of styles and genres in the Jazz idiom, as they spread this wonderfully created American music across the Northeastern Albemarle Area. Their goal is to provide this uniquely special music to any and all who lend an ear to appreciate America’s greatest artform, Jazz. Currently managed by Wayne James, Dennis Figgs, and Ellard Forrester, Connected has been both blessed and fortunate to feature many great musicians of the Albemarle Area. Current members include Dennis Figgs on keyboards and vocals, Wayne James on trumpet, Jeremy Ward on bass, Ellard Forrester on drums and percussion, Will Lane on Guitar, and Joel Taylor and Shannah Boone on lead vocals. Other members who have performed with Connected include Dr. Rev. Quin Rawls, Timon Stallings, Alana Houston, Dr. Steve Raisor, Naomi Rogers, CJ Mercer, Wells Gordon, Michael Gregory, Douglas Jackson, JP Peele, Marlow Greene, and Wes Smith.

The 2025 Season Lineup:
• August 5 – Bobby Plough y Dos Gringos: Original acoustic storytelling infused with Texas country and Americana.
• August 12 – CC Ryder Band: Funk, rock, and reggae powerhouse with roots in the Outer Banks.
• August 19 – Joel Taylor: Soulful soloist and band blending hip-hop, jazz, rock, and reggae.
• August 26 – 100 Proof: Family ensemble playing Americana, country, rock, and pop-soul.
• September 2 – John Stolarc Trio: Alternative/alt country originals and dynamic covers.
• September 9 – Connected: Jazz ensemble showcasing NE Albemarle’s finest jazz musicians. RESCHEDULED TO 9/30 DUE TO WEATHER
• September 16 –Cultivar: 60s and 70s and original psychedelic. CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
• September 23 – The Bee Keepers: Folk alt husband wife duo offering original tunes and collaborative flair.
• September 30 – Connected: Jazz ensemble showcasing NE Albemarle’s finest jazz musicians. (Rescheduled from 9/9)
