Have you been drawn to tarot but aren’t sure where to begin? Or maybe you’ve started reading but feel like you’re missing some foundational skills? This class is for you.
Join us for a 2-hour Intro to Tarot Reading class led by Luiza Moraes (she/they) at Morbid Mementos in Downtown Elgin.
We’ll explore:
A brief history of tarot
Structure of the deck
Accessing intuition through creativity and play
Reading the cards as storytelling
Boundaries and being of service when reading for others
Luiza is an interdisciplinary artist, historian, and Scorpio based in Elgin, IL. Trained in history, dance, and somatic movement across Brazil, France, and Austria, their work blends ancestral healing, Queer/feminist and decolonial practices, divination, and the arts. They currently serve as Advocacy Coordinator at Side Street Studio Arts and are a practitioner-in-training of ancestral lineage healing.
This space welcomes all identities and centers community, curiosity, and intuitive empowerment.
