Script to Be Read: PUFFS (OR SEVEN INCREASINGLY EVENTFUL YEARS AT A CERTAIN SCHOOL OF MAGIC AND MAGIC (A Comedy by Matt Cox)

The purpose of this reading is to provide an opportunity for those interested in auditioning for the live production on May 12-13 to hear the script read aloud from start to finish. It will be very similar to a first read-thru rehearsal of a show. Folks will be randomly assigned roles to read out loud. This event is very casual, free to participate and will end around 8pm.
Show Synopsis: This clever and inventive play “never goes more than a minute without a laugh” giving you a new look at a familiar adventure from the perspective of three potential heroes just trying to make it through a magic school that proves to be very dangerous for children. Alongside them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning, loyal outsiders with a thing for badgers “who are so lovable and relatable, you’ll leave the theater wishing they were in the stories all along.” Their “hilariously heartfelt!” and epic journey takes the classic story of a boy wizard to new places and reimagines what a hero can be.
