💜 Meet Artist Amanda Barnes – Fighter, Survivor & Passionate Creator 💜

We’re so excited to introduce you to Artist Amanda Barnes, the inspiring founder of Art for Hope Healing Arts.
Amanda has been making art since childhood and studied at California College of the Arts, along with other programs that shaped her creative style and her heart-centered teaching.
Fourteen years ago, her life changed forever when she was struck in a hit-and-run accident that left her a T12 complete paraplegic. Through the challenges of pain, pressure sores, and depression, she found resilience and healing through art. Now, she shares this gift with others.
Amanda’s work focuses on adaptive painting and peer-support art therapy, rooted in mindfulness, connection, and creativity—helping people of all abilities feel calmer, more confident, and more connected to themselves and community.

Amanda will be teaching a special All-Abilities Adaptive Painting Workshop at:

⏰ 12:00–3:00 PM
Adaptive art tools (mouth sticks, foam grips, hand straps, etc.) will be provided, making this a welcoming space for disabled and non-disabled folks to create and connect.
