Cloudcroft Ruidoso loop (1 overnight)
Pack a jacket, chaps, and a lunch as we head up to the Sacramento Mountains. This is the ride to call in sick for. May be that last ride up there before old man winter arrives.
DAY 1
September 20, 2025, Meet at Speedway/McDonalds US 54 & McCombs.
Meet at 0730, Safety Brief at 0745, KSU at 0800
All Non-Hog Members and Minors must sign a release form. This is a Closed HOG Event.
Ride to Alamogordo for a gas and snack fill up, then it is on to Cloudcroft, Mayhill, Dunkin, Pinion, Avis, W**d and back to Mayhill for lunch. (Mayhill cafe or brown bag at the store)
After lunch it' a back track to W**d, Left at Pinion and on to Timberon, Sunspot, and Cloudcroft for a fill-up on gas and snacks. Then it is up Hwy 244 past Silver Lake on to Ruidoso where we spend the night
DAY 2
September 21, 2024, Meet at the Allsup's at the corner of Sudderth Dr. and Mechem Dr. gas up
Meet at 0730, Safety Brief at 0745, KSU at 0800
We ride up to Capitan NM to the Smokey Bear restaurant for breakfast, then it is on past Lincoln, Hondo, Right on Hwy 70, past Ruidoso Downs and stop at the Casino Apache for fuel. Then it is on to Cloudcroft via the backroad and down the hill to the Chevron for gas, then we take US 54 back to El Paso.
