Ladies and gentlemen! Click “attending” to reserve your spot! It’s gonna get crowded!
You have gobbled down buckets of popcorn, as you watched Scott and Peter go at it online for months in the Borderland SMOF group! NOW they finally meet in person and settles the score, once and for all!
The event will consist of 2 segments:
Segment 1: Live reading!
Our fuming gladiators will be reading out, THEIR OWN, highlight passages from their facebook exchanges online during the year. The passages will be hand picked by the organisers, and we promise - It WILL be the goriest material only! This segment will go down on the main stage in The Green Zone, and refereed by a battle hardened officer from Blackwater Operations. To ensure that the whole thing doesn't get sidetracked, they will be instructed to STAY ON SCRIPT, or have their microphones muted.
Segment 2: Free style word battle!
The raging bulls will be allowed to continue their word-fight as they please! There is no time limit and no constraints on what they can say! This segment will take place in a secondary location outside The Green Zone, to ensure that they can fight for as long as they want! (We do need the main stage for other stuff as well)
- The contesters have been promised:
- Full VIP security detail
- Borderland VIP Membership guarantee
- Deluxe Catering
- Green Room
- Personal handler
- PR
- Rockstar treatment!
But there is still a chance that either one of them might get cold feet and wuzz out. (Saying shit live can prove a little more difficult than online, after all)
This is where we need your help, dear community. To ensure that the fight actually goes down, we need YOU to excerpt MAXIMUM PEER PRESSURE on the lads! This can be done in many ways:
- In their online fights, ask them if they are committed to show up at the live event!
- Offer them gifts if they show up! Regardless of the outcome!
- Cater to their egos! "I can't wait to see you make minced meat out the other dude!" etc.
- Set up an online fan club for your favourite
- Be creative
- Invite your friends to this event. Share it in groups, hype it, and make sure it gets a great turnout!
During the year, they might both or individually claim that they don’t intend to participate. This is just stagefright. Keep asking and nagging. When push comes to shove, neither of them will be able to turn down an audience this size and the oodles of attention that comes with it.
