Friday 22 Aug: 19- 21h Mantra Revolution Kirtan
No previous experience is needed. Simply bring your voice, an open heart, and a willingness to immerse yourself in the vibrations of sacred sound.
Saturday 23 Aug: 11- 18h Vocal Freedom Workshop
Would love like to feel free to sing your heart out, express yourself with confidence, or simply speak your truth more clearly? This full day immersive workshop is designed to help you discover, uncover and empower your true voice - physically, emotionally and on the level of being your true authentic selves. This worksop is for anyone looking to develop a deeper connection with their voice, wether through singing, speaking or personal self expression.
Sunday 24 Aug: 11- 18h Kirtan Leaders Immersion
This workshop is designed for those who are already familiar with kirtan and mantra chanting and would like to develop their own instrument, whether for personal growth or sharing with others.
What we will cover:
the essence of kirtan as a practice and its different forms
the significance of melody in mantra chanting
the power of group singing vs. solo chanting
the arc of a kirtan journey, building energy, flow and resolution
key aspects of leading a kirtan- setting rhythm, guiding the group, and creating a shared experience
playing alone vs playing with others
how to develop your unique sound and set an intention for your kirtan practice
the art of teaching and explaining mantras in a kirtan setting
establishing a strong and community kirtan practice
Please note: this is not an instrument workshop. Participants should have basic proficiency of their chosen instrument. Beginners are welcome if they can learn chords in advance.
To prepare, there will be a Zoom training session three weeks before the workshop, introducing the mantras and basic techniques.
