Ecstatic Dance is a free-form dance where music guides movement and expression. The emphasis is on finding joy in movement, letting go, moving freely, and connecting with the music, rather than on specific choreography or skill level.
You don't have to be good at dancing to participate! You do have to be willing to follow the group agreements set in place by the facilitators at the beginning of the dance.
Agreements include no drugs or alcohol and no conversation on the dance floor. Feel free to step aside and have a chat!
We'll begin with a brief check-in, introduce ourselves, and do a few movement practices together to loosen up and connect with the music.
At the end, we'll gather again and share anything we'd like to about the experience together.
All ages are welcome at this event.

This will take place on/around the mainstage.
Feel free to take a break at any time - there's no pressure. It's not a performance.
We'll designate a "stretch zone" for adults who need to take a breather!
Wear comfy clothes, bring a water bottle & stay hydrated! Dancing props - costumes - twirly skirts - scarves - hoops - etc welcome!
Dance party will last approximately 75 minutes, leaving time before and after dancing for community connection.
