Dotnet Workers

There is a Dotnet project type that is used for creating services to perform actions on an interval. A worker service can be a standalone project or part of a bigger solution. We'll take a look at a few examples to show what can be done with worker projects. We'll also compare a starting worker project to a standard console application. Finally, we'll set up a worker project as a service on both Windows and Linux.
