Liam Shearer is an active trumpeter in the Edmonton music scene. He has performed in various ensembles, such as The Brasstactics, Rhumba Caliente, EJO, Edmonton Winds, and River City Big Band. Having just completed his senior recital celebrating the music of the Miles Davis Quintet, Liam hopes to showcase his own arrangements and unique voice on some of Miles' classics. Miles was the first trumpeter Liam had listened to when he first picked up the instrument and has since been inspired by Nicholas Payton, Takuya Kuroda, and Freddie Hubbard.
