Date: Saturday August 23rd, 2025
Start location: Churchill Square
End location: Fan Park. 10104 104 Ave NW
The parade runs approx. 1pm-3:30pm, but we will meet earlier (12:15) for staging.
After the Parade, we will land in Fan Park where the Edmonton Unitarians will have a booth in the Rainbow Road, which will be an event of booths and vendors for various organizations and businesses in the city. Fan Park will also host a concert stage with many events. The festival involving the stage and Rainbow Road officially starts at 3pm.
Transportation
-Edmonton Pride recommends taking public transit
-City Hall Parkade will not be operational
-Recommended Parkades: Edmonton Public Library, City Center Mall
-We highly suggest arranging to carpool. Reach out to someone in church and make an event of it!!
On the day of, we will gather in Churchill Square, rally our group, distribute wristbands to everyone, and then line up along 99th Street. We are currently waiting for additional info on when exactly we are to meet up and our positioning in the parade. If you contact Declan, he will distribute that information as soon as possible.
Your wristband is very important. Edmonton Pride reminds us that you must wear it throughout the parade. It will grant you immediate access to Fan Park as the parade ends. For everyone's safety, no one wearing a wristband may carry weapons or alcohol into Fan Park.
You might want to bring
-Water and snacks. We will have some to hand out as well
-Sunscreen and sunglasses
-Weather appropriate clothing
-Colourful clothing and UU clothing or accessories if you have them
-A sign with a respectful, positive, and celebratory message about Pride and/or UUism
-All things rainbow!
