Emerging Artist Presents The Byrne McMullen Quintet presented by Yardbird Suite

Byrne McMullen is an up-and-coming jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader in Edmonton. He is known for his warm, full tone and commitment to creating a sound authentic to the jazz language and tradition. His quintet will be playing a selection of songs from the hard bop era — jazz characterized by its driving swing and firm connection to the blues. Byrne will present compositions by Hank Mobley, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Freddie Hubbard, and Tina Brooks arranged exactly as the masters played them on their classic and timeless records.
