This performance is intended to be enjoyed by the community and a way to get neighbors and friends out to say hi. In summer 2020 (Covid times), Stephen did 30 similar performances on people's lawns and driveways with his own band (with distance and precautions). He found these to be very appreciated within communities, both for the music and the opportunity for neighbours to say hi to each other. Many communities have continued traditions born in this time of neighbourhood concerts. In his new home (since Jan 2024) Stephen observed that his (open-shared townhouse) backyard might be an ideal place for such an event... and began having concerts in the backyard that summer.
This mini concert is entirely by donation. If you enjoy, consider that a coffee might cost $5, a performance from a band at a bar might cost $20... but give as you feel able, and your presence itself is a present. Stephen will personally be guaranteeing a minimum to Ben, , Kate. Stephanie and all future musicians that perform in his backyard space.
-Parking is best on 106 St by Central McDougall Park.
-Refreshments, food will be offered, option of hanging out a bit post show.
