A Celebration of Culture:

Africanival 2025 promises to be a rich immersive experience bringing together Afro-Caribbean traditions alongside performances and cultural expressions from multicultural communities across Canada. The festival will feature live performances from top artists a variety of culinary delights colorful fashion and unique exhibitions that celebrate Afro-Caribbean identity and heritage.

Workshops & Opportunities:

In addition to the festivities Africanival 2025 will offer workshops designed for aspiring artists filmmakers and performers offering a space for creative exchange and collaboration. Artists from across Canada will participate in workshops and panel discussions providing insight into their craft. Volunteers actors filmmakers and anyone interested in pursuing a career in the arts are encouraged to attend network and learn from established industry professionals.

Film Screening at Muttart Theatre on June 7:

The festival also includes a film screening event at the Muttart Theatre in Downtown Edmonton showcasing Afro-Caribbean and multicultural cinema from talented filmmakers. Whether you're a movie lover aspiring filmmaker or film student the screenings will inspire and spark new conversations on the power of storytelling and representation in film.

Vendors Market:

A vibrant marketplace will be set up at Churchill Square offering a wide variety of Afro-Caribbean art fashion food and handmade crafts from local and national vendors. Whether you're looking to take home a piece of culture or simply indulge in some delicious Caribbean cuisine the vendors' market is the place to be!
