Synopsis: Mark owns a small software solutions business and is facing bankruptcy because the software keeps crashing. Although he can’t afford to hire a developer, he brings on Alex, a young undocumented immigrant, to fix the code. On her first day, Mark locks Alex in the office and refuses to let her go home until she repairs the software. Things only get worse from there.

Expected Run Time: 90 minutes, with no intermission. A Playwright Feedback session will be held after the reading and is encouraged but optional to stay and participate.

First Draft is a FREE staged reading series, but we ask that you reserve tickets, in case of changes to capacity prior to the event. We will be checking people off on a door list upon arrival, so you will NOT receive printed tickets in the mail or at Will Call.
