11th Annual Sheltie Day at the Park

This year's picnic will be held at once again at Roosevelt Park in Edison NJ. We will once again be in Grove 1A which has a parking lot across the street and real bathrooms on the other side of the parking lot. There is a nice walking trail around a lake.

The event will be rain or shine. There is a pavilion for us to use.

$ 30 per person for tickets purchased through this site up to 4pm on Thursday, August 21. Please purchase tickets ahead of time so we can get an accurate headcount for how much food we will need. Tickets after that date/time and day of will be $35 per person (cash, check or here on EventBrite).

Dogs are free! No sheltie needed. Friends of shelties and any breed is welcome!

Cold lunch and beverages included in donation. Make your own sandwiches (deli meats and cheeses and rolls), associated chips, salads, watermelon, drinks and desserts.

Chinese auction (additional fee for tickets). Donations of items for auction are always greatly appreciated. Just bring them with you.

Bring sunscreen, bug spray, and whatever your vaccinated dogs may need. Pens or crates welcome. Dogs must be on leash if not secured in a pen or crate. Be sure to have a collar with ID tags. Feel free to also bring your own chairs, picnic blankets, etc.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA), and any level of trick dog testing will be available (additional fee of $10). For trick dog basic props available, but bring anything specific you wish to use.

Sparkly Paw will also be offering an AKC FIT DOG Fun Run/Group Walk (additional fee of $10) - see https://www.sparklypaw.com/event-details-registration/fit-dog-fun-run-group-walk-sheltie-stroll-in-person-event-2. Did I mention there is a nice lake to walk around.

All net proceeds are donated to Heart's Promise Sheltie Rescue.
