World Trad Dance Music from Scotland, Argentina and the Balkans

Join us for a one-off world trad dance music concert featuring not one but two super bands of 20 or so ace Scottish musicians of diverse heritage – Samodiva Nestya and Garúa Tango Club.

Experience a unique mash-up of live traditional dance music from Scotland, Argentina and the Balkans in just one night! Enjoy listening to tango, horo and ceilidh, plus much more. Discover world dance music traditions from across the world that have become an integral part of contemporary Scotland.

This concert wouldn't be possible without the initiative of Chris Lyons, the world trad dance musician-in-residence at the Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland, the support of Creative Scotland through TRACS (Traditional Arts and Culture Scotland), the hospitality of the host venue The King's Hall; and the ongoing partnership between Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland and Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh.
