TypeWRITErs! - The New Typewronger Writing Group

This month Tee is inviting you to think about the media you use to write your work - computers, pen and paper, your phone... a typewriter? The equipment we use has a profound effect, and if you're not sure if that's true why not put it to the test? We'll have 9 different writing setups from the conventional to the bizarre available on the night, and the Typewronger Gong will sound every 10 minutes when you will have to change places and continue on a different setup.

As we're changing things up so quickly over the course of the workshop you musn't attempt to write anything too complicated - Tee recommends a simple scene set in a very specific time and place - lots of descriptive writing. Make it somewhere you know well so you're never going to be struggling for ideas, and don't worry too much about the plot.

If you register for this event it is important that you attend, and if something prevents you from coming you must let us know immediately so we can let folk on the waiting list know.

Tee Hodges (penname TSJH) has absolutely no qualifications in Creative Writing whatsoever. They also have no qualifications in risograph printing, publishing & bookselling - but that's never stopped them. Their CV is impressively filled with no qualifications in a wide range of fields, with the exception of an MA in Classical Studies and an MLitt in Classics. All they can remember from these is the sound the Frogs make in Aristophenes' eponymous play.
