Plot
Based on Mark Haddon’s 2003 Book by the same name, this award winning play by Simon Stephens was first staged by the National Theatre in association with Frantic Assembly.
Cast
2M / 3W / 3-5 Ensemble any age or gender
Christopher : (Male, playing age – needs to portray a 15 yr. old) Description: Lead and on stage at all times.
Siobhan (Female, playing age 30+) Christopher’s teacher.
Ed (Male, playing age 30s/40s – early 50s same age range as Judy) Christopher’s Dad.
Judy (Female, playing age 30s/40s- early 50s same age range as Ed) Christopher’s Mum.
Mrs Alexander (Female, playing age 60+) Christopher’s neighbour.
Ensemble: Any age range, ability to change accents/voices desirable.
Auditions
Auditions will be held on Friday 25 July and again on Tuesday 29 July from 7:00pm until 10:00pm in our rehearsal rooms at 18 Buccleuch Place, 1st floor in the Graduate Association offices.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will start Tuesday 2 September and will be held three times a week usually Tues, Thurs evenings and Sunday afternoon.
