Head in the cosmos, feet fixed to the earth, Ailsa McEwan’s (alias Ailsa and the Seahorses) distinct brand of ethereal indie speaks to the metaphysical, while grounded by the warmth of hushed, honest vocals. Marrying the atmospherics of dreampop and shoegaze with the singer-songwriter tradition, her music is a blend of dreamy melancholia and mystic poetry. Returning home to Scotland after 5 years in dusty Berlin, she brings with her the debut album 'Hermit’ - a collection of songs from a journey through introspection and hope.
