Welcome to the Scottish Poetry Choir’s first ever performance!
We warmly welcome you to join us for an afternoon filled with poetry, music and dance in the unique and beautiful surrounds of the Pianodrome.
This is a special occasion to gather and celebrate the art of poetry, live, in a unique and welcoming atmosphere. Immerse yourself in the powerful words of talented poets while surrounded by a supportive community.
Featuring
Tawona & Eric Sitholé
Storytellers, musicians and brothers from Zimbabwe and co-founders of the Glasgow arts group Seeds of Thought. Tawona is widely published as a poet and playwright, and short story author who uses both Shona and Ndau in his work. Currently, Tawona is an Academic Coordinator, and UNESCO Chair for Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts at the University of Glasgow.
Mano Camatsos
Mano's band, Raiments, has just returned from its European Spring tour and is made up of interchanging members which complement Mano’s improvisational interests and style.
Ruth Walker
Ruth is a fast-growing talent in the world of Scottish dance. Her choreography will add a welcome visual addition to the Poetry Choir.
