THE DEBUT ALBUM - THE FINAL SHOW
It’s time to celebrate one another and rejoice!
On May 16th at Assembly Roxy Maranta will host an extra-celestial party to herald the release of their long anticipated debut album ‘Day Long Dream’.
Maranta are Scottish synth pop duo Callum Govan & Gloria Black. Their debut album Day Long Dream is inspired by electronic dreamscapes, pulsing dancefloor mutations and improvisational meanderings recorded in their studio in Leith over the past two years. The album is a synthesis of the collaborative projects Maranta have drawn inspiration from yet underlines their unique sonic outlook. The duo is going out with a bang - with their debut’s bounding pop bops featuring twitching analogue synths, skittish childlike vocal melodies, propulsive bass and dance floor moulded vocals of introspective wonder…Day Long Dream will turn you inwards or set you free.
Over the past 7 years, you have helped make this journey a magical musical slip n’ slide and we want to give thanks to all our past collaborators, supporters and friends.
Expect electronically mutated mayhem, provocative performances and a kaleidoscopic laser show. Let’s do it one last time and help send us off on a beam of microscopic glory!
