A classic farce by Nobel Prize winning playwright Dario Fo, full of miscommunication and slapstick comedy.

A burglar is interrupted whilst at work when the owner of the flat returns unexpectedly with his mistress in tow. The burglar is forced to seek refuge inside a grandfather clock, only for his wife to call the house looking for him. The owner of the house answers, setting off a domino effect of mishaps and hilarity. The burglar is revealed hiding in the grandfather clock and is forced to pretend the owner’s mistress is his wife when various spouses and lovers arrive. If that wasn’t complicated enough, things take a turn when the burglar’s wife joins the party...
