About CREATE:
CREATE is an art-making experience for early years, that engages parents and carers in messy play with the children, aged 5 and under, in their care. Running two mornings a week the project aims to provide active childhood experiences for adults and children.
CREATE provides the resources, ideas and creative inspiration for a range of activities that can often be replicated in the home environment using recycled, low-cost and easily obtainable materials.
No previous experience is needed, all abilities welcome!
A healthy snack is provided for all attending.
Sessions may take place indoors – or sometimes outdoors if weather permits! – so please:
- Wear comfortable clothes and layers that you don’t mind getting messy.
- Wear footwear that allows you to be active and move.
- Bring a warm/waterproof outer layer, just in case we make it outdoors!
PLEASE NOTE:
Parents/carers are responsible for supervising their children at all times during the session.
We encourage adults and children in attendance to engage and participate in the activities.
We encourage families to help make CREATE a ‘technology free zone’. Where possible, we would kindly ask adults to put away mobile phones and tablets during the sessions, unless needed to support your participation or for emergencies. Our team may use their devices intermittently during sessions, either to take photos (with permission) and/or access resources (e.g. music, translation, bookings, etc.) but we will endeavour to keep this to a minimum.
Thank you for your understanding! If you have any questions or concerns please get in touch.
CREATE is made possible in through funding from KPE4.
