Cafe Forró @ Tanifiki, Portobello

Welcome to Cafe Forró at Tanifiki!

Our friends at Tanifiki Portobello are opening especially for us so we can enjoy an evening of joyful music, dancing and mingling in their wonderful cafe.

This is a chance to celebrate the warmth of Brazilian culture with some of the best forró music, friendly people, and of course amazing artisan coffee roasted right on the premises!

Whether you're a forró dancer, a friend of a dancer, or just curious, you are very welcome to come and experience the joy of forró! There will be music for dancing, spaces for relaxing and a range of delicious drinks and snacks available to purchase at the cafe.

Entrance: Suggested donation of £5. The event is not-for-profit, if you can afford it we kindly ask for a donation of £5 to cover the cost of the venue and ensure we can continue to run future events. Under 16s free!

Some tickets will be available on the day but booking in advance is preferable to assist with planning :-)

Info: Music, dancing and spaces to sit back and relax with amazing artisan coffee. From 6pm we'll be playing music from some of the best forró pé-de-serra musicians including Luiz Gonzaga, Marinês, Jackson do Pandeiro, Dominguinhos and more. Dance, chat or just relax and soak up the vibe.
