Expect appearances from all 4 founding members, as we celebrate 15 years of She bang Chaos and Mayhem... AND Vicki's birthday, all in one night.
She-Bang Rave unit was founded as a group of female DJs in 2010 through a want to throw parties without rules. As well as being seasoned clubbers and party organisers with a music collections that spans decades, they had a mutual love of Detroit techno, Chicago house, disco, acid, new wave, nu disco and post punk . . . all 4 had regularly attended the same legendary club nights in the 90s and 2000s such as Pure.
She-Bang Rave Unit are known to throw the genre rule book out the window and cherry pick the best from their collection, mixing up house, acid and the mighty techno, with old disco classics and rare gems. Or as they put it, “we draw from many confusing genre titles that are meant for f***ing good tunes to dance to”.
A wee note to bear in mind
We love our home (and their sister venue the Cricket Club), Box Energy wouldn’t exist without it.
The venue are our hosts, they create a safe space for you to enjoy, they show us huge support, respect and tolerance for the event we choose to put on. The staff are kind, helpful and tolerant.
At Box Energy it can be easy to forget you are not at a house party, this is something we are proud of, but please remember to protect and respect the space, the staff, each other, yourself and the neighbours by knowing your limits, abiding by the venue’s policies and licensing and culture. and as always share our mantra - Don't be a dick.
