Riverside Conservancy of Edgewater will hold a special presentation for its July Lagoon Lecture with guest speaker Katie Tripp, Ph.D., owner of Natural Beauty Native Florida Landscapes.
Tripp will present on the topic, “How Native Plants Help Support Healthy Ecosystems Along the Indian River Lagoon” on Thursday, July 24, at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Conservancy Center, located at 1413 South Riverside Drive in Edgewater. There are two ADA parking spaces at the Center and others are asked to park on the grass in front of the Center.
Tripp will discuss native plants in a presentation and will show guests living native plants following the lecture.
A familiar face in Volusia County, Tripp started her native plant business at the end of 2019. She spent more than 11 years in leadership in the nonprofit sector working as an advocate for Florida’s environment.
Lagoon Lectures are typically held at the Edgewater Public Library except during June and July, when summer youth programs move into the auditorium space. Riverside’s lectures will return to the library in late August.
