For several decades Brian Cassey has been working for numerous Australian and International media principally covering news, features and sport around the planet. His work encompasses conflict, natural disasters, hard news, politics, social issues and more.
Brian’s work has evolved over time and the changing demands of the media industry and he has now developed a further niche in the disciplines of photographic portraiture and fine art
His images have been recognised and featured in galleries, exhibitions and awards around the World.
However, this is Brian’s first exhibition of purely black and white work. "Achromatic" shows how reducing a photograph to black and white emphasises contrast, form, and texture, allowing viewers to focus on composition and the interplay of light and shadow without the distraction of colour.
