The harvest has been robust and bountiful for the year and now it's time to put up our tools and celebrate the season. Come join us in the Shire of the River Serponnde on November 1, 2025 to celebrate All Hallows Day, a day to celebrate all things fall.
There will be a traditional turnip (or pumpkin if you prefer) carving contest. Bring your own or use one provided. We will have prizes for the best in each category and the populace will hold the final vote!!! Categories include: Scary, Traditional, Most On-theme, or Comical. You can mix your mediums (paint/embellishment) but there MUST be some part that is carved.
Board, card, and other games will be available for those who wish to engage your fellow festival goers. In honor of the spooky season all are encouraged to wear your best mask or costume. Make your best mask, dress as your favorite Saint (in honor of All Saints Day), OR your favorite real or SCA historical figure. We will have prizes for the populace choice for mask and costume. A special prize will go to the individual who gets the most correct guesses on their costume.
But what about some combat you say? We’re glad you asked! There are plans to have a kingdom wide melee practice at the event and some scenarios that will involve mischief and mayhem (like maybe a tavern brawl, capture the pumpkin; who knows what they will come up with)! The shire will be making available standing crust meat pies - called “coffins” - during the luncheon hour. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. You are welcome to bring your own provisions or share a dish with others in the populace. The cost of this small luncheon will be $10.00.
A firepit will be kept lit and all are encouraged to share their songs of mirth or mayhem, a story of mystery and suspense. Have a ghost story you’re just dying to tell? Come sit by the fire and entertain us with your tale.
We would like to encourage new folks to come to the event so we are offering a discount. If you bring a first time attendee to the event a $1.00 discount is offered on site fee. Don’t have someone in mind? We will offer the same discount if you bring a non-perishable item to be donated to the local food bank.

Location: Anderson Camp Ground, 1188 E. 990 S. Eden ID 83325
Directions: Take your best route to Interstate 84 toward Twin Falls, ID and take exit 182 at Kimberly/Eden. Turn North on Idaho 50 (AWAY from the Shell station/truck stop). From ID 50, take the first right onto Tipperary Road (the frontage road), and follow it east for 1/2 mile. Pass Extreme Motorsports and RV on the left and the campground is just beyond on the left. Watch for the SCA signs.
Note: Double check GPS directions - Exit 182 is by far the quickest and easiest route.
Site specifics: This is a discreetly wet site. There is a general store on site and they hope to have their warm food counter back up and running after a remodel this summer. There is a Sonic Fast food at the Eden Truck Stop as well as a sit down restaurant. Twin Falls is just 7 miles south of exit 182. The site has plenty of shade and animals are welcomed but are to be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. There are bathrooms with handicap accessibility both within the campgrounds and in the main hall. There will be a firepit behind the main hall for bardic and general enjoyment.
There are hotels in the area as well as on-site tent, cabin, and RV options. Discounts available for AARP, Triple A and Veterans.
Rentals pricing per night as follows:
RV: 30 amp $57 ($51 with discount); 50 amp $62 ($55 with discount)
Tent: $34.50 ($31 with discount)
Cabins: 1 bedroom basic (1-4 people) $60 ($54 with discount); 1 bedroom premium (1-4 people) $80 ($72 with discount); 2 bedroom (1-6 people) $80 ($72 with discount).

Feast information: $10 for standing crust “coffin” meat pie filled with a stew of seasonal vegetables, meat and gravy. Those who do not wish to have the crust, a bowl can also be purchased for the same cost, with a side of gluten free bread. We will also offer an alternative of a vegetarian/gluten free option.
