DESCRIPTION
Tim Case is a folk-inspired, country-adjacent singer/songwriter from Wisconsin. Since releasing his 2022 debut EP "Great Big Moon" - called "A prime example of colorful and extraordinary Americana music in the modern world" (Aldora-Britain Records Issue #124) - he has been a regular on stages around the Chippewa Valley. His most recent album is 2025's "Hall of Mirrors," praised by the Eau Claire Leader-Telegram as, "A modern, uniquely-Wisconsin take on classic folk and Americana music.”
"Hall of Mirrors" was recorded at Pine Hollow Audio in Eau Claire with producer/guitarist Evan Middlesworth and a backing band including Jeremy Boettcher on bass, Matt Haapala on drums, and guest appearances from folk duo Songa. The album's nine songs cover the full spectrum of alternative country, from sweeping Americana (“Rock River Song”) to playful roots rock (“What Am I Missing?”), with stops at cosmic country (“I’ll Take the Moonlight”) and brooding folk (“The Exit”) in between. Tying it all together is Case’s unique sense of lyrical storytelling, equally at home whether reflecting on family and fatherhood (“Shots in the Dark”) or wryly surveying current events (“Bloodbath”).
As a solo performer Tim has been honored to share the stage with Erik Koskinen, Martha Scanlan & Jon Neufeld, The Lone Canary, and many other artists from around the upper Midwest and beyond. Primarily relying on finger-picked acoustic guitar, raw, heartfelt vocals, and a down-to-earth stage presence, he has earned a reputation as a charming storyteller and compelling live performer. He lives in Eau Claire with his wife and daughter.
