Guest Choir: Stockholms Studentsångare

The Eau Claire Male Chorus and the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Department of Music and Theatre Arts presents a special guest choir in Gantner Concert Hall at the Haas Fine Arts Center (121 Water Street Eau Claire, WI 54701) Admission is FREE. Doors open 15 minutes before start time.

Stockholm Academic Male Chorus / Stockholms Studentsångare was founded in 1905 and is one of Sweden’s leading male choirs.Today the choir has 55 active members consisting mainly of academics of all disciplines; both students and graduated. The repertoire is very broad and rooted in all parts of the male chorus literature: old and new; profane and sacred.

The Eau Claire Male Chorus was organized in 1946 as an incorporated non-profit 501c3 organization. The chorus is the longest standing performing arts group in the Eau Claire area.

The Eau Claire Male Chorus of the 1940’s was instrumental in helping to develop the Upper Midwest District (UMD) of the Associated Male Choruses of America (AMC of A) with Berger Gabrielson of Eau Claire being the first district president.
