Join Our Community Police Academy!
The Eatonville Police Department is excited to announce the launch of our very first Community Police Academy! This program is designed to foster better understanding and communication between the police department and the citizens we serve.
Program Highlights:
• Interactive Sessions: Learn about various aspects of law enforcement, including patrol operations, investigations, and community policing.
• Hands-On Experience: Participate in simulated police activities and gain insight into the daily responsibilities of our officers. This includes a virtual-reality use of force scenarios experience, a ride-along police driving skills course, and a firearms range day.
• Guest Speakers:
Hear from experienced law enforcement professionals and community leaders. Take a tour of the Pierce County Jail and the South Sound 911 dispatch center.
• Q&A Sessions:
Engage in open discussions and ask questions about policing and public safety.
Who Can Join? The academy is open to all residents and business owners/employees of Eatonville who are 18 years or older and have a genuine interest in learning about law enforcement.
When and Where:
• Dates: Every Thursday starting May 1st to June 26th
• Time: 6pm to 8pm
• Location: Eatonville Community Center and other various sites
