Fun with Fungi

Did you know that plants can talk to each other through fungi? Hidden underground is a network connecting roots, sharing nutrients, and helping plants send warning signals. It's called the mycorrhizal network, and it's real-life magic!

Join us at Kumbartcho Sanctuary for a fungi-filled morning of discovery, nature, and a little forest magic. Tickets are free but bookings are essential.

You’ll hear from Dr Sandra Tuszynska, a soil expert passionate about all thing's fungi. Sandra will give a fun and easy-to-understand talk about how fungi help plants grow strong and healthy, all without chemicals.

Afterwards, enjoy a light morning tea and then head off on a guided rainforest walk. Look under logs, peek around tree trunks, and see what fascinating fungi you can find!

This event is perfect for curious minds ages 12 and up, and anyone who's ever wondered what lies beneath their feet.
