The Double-A-Quartet

The Double-A-Quartet, comprised of piano, drums, bass, and alto saxophone, was started by two young musicians, Antanas Arvystas and Owen York. The two have been mentored by jazz greats around the community, including Jeff "Tain" Watts, Adam Nussbaum, Skip Wilkins, Tom Litwin, and Gene Perla. It typically features an older, experienced bass player, such as Gene Perla or Tom Litwin, who are helping to develop the young musicians via trial by fire. Double-A-Quartet plays tunes from the American songbook but also plays original compositions that will soon be compiled into an album entitled "Fun Together, Or Alone."
