The Quick Draw Competition is a plein air painting competition, exhibit, and sale that is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Nearly 200 people; competition painters, professionals, amateurs and the simply adventurous compete and have fun. These artists have only six square blocks and two hours to complete their works.

How to 'Quick Draw'
1. REGISTER $10

In-person: PAE Headquarters, July 13-18, 40 S Harrison St, Easton
PAE Tent, July 19, 14 S Harrison, (in front of Town Office)
2. CHECK-IN
Find us at the PAE Tent (14 S Harrison) before you start painting. Pick up your triplicate sales form, fill in the artist information and tape it to your easel while you’re painting.
3. PAINT 9am-11am - NEW Paint Time
You asked, we listened and moved the painting time up an hour earlier. Map included with registration.
Boundaries:
From Talbottown to Brookletts
From West to Higgins Sts.
4. EXHIBIT/SELL/WIN
11-1pm Exhibit: Bring your completed painting to Harrison Street and display your artwork on your easel. Take a break, cool off at the EMS Cooling Station, view some of the exhibits (listed below) - the judge will be making selections during this time.
12:30pm Awards: PAE Competition Judge Peter Trippi will announce the awards. Winners are asked to bring their paintings with them to the stage.
Selling your Art:
Affix your triplicate sales form to your easel before you paint!
Buyer brings top 2 copies to PAE Tent (in front of Town office)
Have buyer show you their sales receipt/proof of payment.
Congratulations - you sold your painting!
The Avalon Foundation will issue payment (75% to you/25% to Avalon) by mail.
