Meet Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust and Excelsior Coach at 6.00am at the Blues Club Football Ground, Grove Road Portland and departing London at 6.00pm (we can also arrange pick ups on route).
The trip includes free interpretation walk led by James Newton, Architect, of Christopher Wren Churches radiating from St Pauls Cathedral, Wrens greatest masterpiece.
The event is part of a Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust project ‘Look To The Rock - Quarrymen’s Stories’ supported by Historic England - Everyday Heritage - Celebrating Working Class Histories, connecting the ‘Wren Stone’ inscriptions at Tout Quarry Sculpture Park & Nature Reserve to London. @HistoricEngland #EverydayHeritage
