What to expect:
You will learn to make an even clay slab and to handle it as to avoid problems during the kiln firings. You will learn to smooth the clay to a satisfying finish and shape it into a base and a lid for a butter dish.
You will then learn to add a handle detail of your choice.
Once finished, if you wish to to do so, you will be able choose colour(s) amongst our very own handmade underglazes and add accents to your creation.
And two hours will be gone in a flash!
We will carefully dry your finished pot(s), fire them in the kiln, apply a transparent glaze and fire your pot(s) a second time.
For economical and environmental reasons, delivery time for your finished pot will depend on how quickly we make enough other pieces to fill our kiln fully. This usually takes 6 to 8 weeks.
You can then come and collect your pot(s) or I can send them to you (p&p will incur an extra cost of £8 to £10).

You may wish to attend a subsequent glazing workshop to enjoy a full pottery experience and may discuss this during the lesson.
This workshop is also available as a private lesson of 2 hours for which you can choose a day and time of your convenience, depending on availability of course.
For a 2 hours private lessons tariffs depend on the number of people attending the lesson: starting at £45 per person if 3 people book together, £50 per person if 2 people book together and £60 for a one to one lesson.
