Stoneware mug

Join us for our brand-new Stoneware Mug Class and learn how to use specialist glazes and techniques on durable stoneware clay.



Stoneware is a stronger, more hard-wearing clay than the usual earthenware bisque. It is fired at a much higher temperature, allowing glazes to move, merge, and react in the kiln — creating beautifully textured, totally unique finishes on every piece.



Your finished mug will be microwave and oven safe, making it both practical and special.



During this class you will:



Learn how to carve your own pattern into a mug
Explore stoneware glazes designed for movement and layered effects
Discover how kiln firing transforms surface design




This workshop is suitable for beginners and those wanting to try something new with ceramics.



Your pottery will be ready to collect approximately 2 weeks after the class.
