Join us for a special open mic night featuring Aris Kian Brown, former Houston Poet Laureate, as we explore the theme: "Create Space for Your Story." 📝✨

Doors/Sign up: 7:00pm

Location: The Robin Theatre

Sign-up Spots: 24 spots available to share your poem!

Loose Theme: Share your voice, your story, your truth.

🔥 Rules of the Open Mic:

Energy is key—all are welcome, but respect the vibes you bring.

Be mindful of language—you’re an adult, so use discretion. Don’t be jarring just for the sake of it.

One poem, 5-minute max—if it’s longer, it might need work. Keep it tight and impactful.

Share your own work—original poems only.

Prepare your poem in advance—this isn’t your first read-through.

Respect the mic—no yelling! It’s a shared space for everyone.

Stay ready—when it’s your turn, have your poem ready to go!

No disclaimers—we’re here for your words, not the preamble.

Rewind—when we love a line, we’ll shout "rewind"! If it’s memorized, don’t worry about it.

Support the space—donate, share the event, invite friends, and tag us on social media!
