Spartan Young Astronomers Club

The Spartan Young Astronomer Club (SYAC) is for kids ages 8-12 who are curious and love learning about astronomy! These budding young astronomers will explore the wonders of the universe. Each month, SYAC members will have opportunities to explore a theme in astronomy through demonstrations, planetarium presentations, and hands-on activities. Please note that it is required an adult accompanies the children.

November 9 - Naked Eye Observing
December 7 - How to be an Astronaut
January 11 - Space Telescopes
March 1 - Archaeoastronomy
April - GO TO SCIENCE FESTIVAL
May 3 - Navigating with the Sky
June 7 - What is Dark Matter?
July 12 - Then what is Dark Energy?
August 2 - Astrobiology
