Classics Book Club: "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway

Hagaman's Classic Book Club will again meet on Monday, July 21st at 3pm via Zoom to discuss their latest selection, "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway. In Hemingway's last published work, for which he won the 1954 Nobel Prize for Literature, "The Old Man and the Sea" tells the story of Santiago, an an aging fisherman, and his long struggle to catch a giant marlin. Themes explored in the text include courage in the face of defeat, and of personal triumph won from loss.
